At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March gained Rs 48, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 38,720 per kg in a business turnover of 1,280 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in May contracts rose Rs 35, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 39,189 per kg in 72 lots.
Market analysts attributed the rise in silver futures to widening of bets by participants on back of positive trend in global market supported by a weaker dollar.
