On specific input provided by BSF intelligence team of Cooch Behar Sector in Bengal, security forces seized 20.940 kg silver having an approximate value of more than Rs 9,21,360 from the border area of Choudhuryhat last evening.
The consignment was being thrown over the border fencing when alert BSF personnel rushed to the area and seized the consignment, which was abandoned by the smugglers.
The smugglers fled from the spot, an official release said.
The seized silver has been handed over to Customs Department for further disposal.
