Simon Pegg to co-write 'Star Trek 3'

Simon Pegg will co-write 'Star Trek 3' with Doug Jung, creator of the TV series 'Dark Blue'.
The third installment of the sci-fi franchise will be directed by 'Fast & Furious' helmer Justin Lin aboard, reported Deadline.
Pegg, 44, scripted the Edgar Wright-directed 'Cornetto' trilogy with him. It consisted of 'Shaun Of The Dead', 'Hot Fuzz' and 'The World's End'.
He wrote 'Run Fatboy Run' with Michael Ian Black.
