"All over the world - in Europe, Asia, the Middle East - people use bidets. Using toilet paper to clean your butt is barbaric!" said Miki Agrawal, CEO and Co-Founder of THINX, which develops period underwear for women.
Tushy is a bidet product that can fit onto the seat of most American toilets, and does not need additional electricity or plumbing to operate.
"It shoots a precise spray of water exactly where you need it, and leaves you feeling clean and refreshed," Canadian born Agrawal told 'Forbes' magazine.
About 27,000 trees get chopped down every day to make toilet paper and producing one roll requires 37 gallons of water, according to the product website.
