A procession was held from the VHP office to Galta Tirth and the ashes were immersed at Galta kund in the presence of several VHP members, amid chanting of Vedic mantras.
"The ashes were immersed at 160 places in the state," VHP leader Kishori Lal said.

Meanwhile, Singhal's ashes were also immersed in the holy water of Yamuna. A large procession, carrying the ashes, started at Hegdewar Park and reached the Vishram Ghat around 12 noon.
"Our aim is to fulfil his aim of construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya... We shall follow his ideals," said Dinesh.
Several dignitaries including politicians and saints took part in the procession.
