Gene Kelly's musical comedy "Singin' in the Rain" will make a jump to Broadway next year.
Weinstein Live Entertainment is teaming with Theatre du Chatelet on the project scheduled to be staged in New York in 2016, said The Hollywood Reporter.
The show is based on the classic 1952 film showcasing the transition of a silent film production company to talkies.
It starred Kelly alongside Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor.
The movie was co-directed by Stanley Donen and Kelly, with a screenplay by the Broadway team of Betty Comden and Adolph Green.
Robert Carsen will direct the stage production.
