Single-window clearance sought for infra to AP, Telangana

The IT and ITES Industry Association of Andhra Pradesh (ITsAP), today urged Telangana and residuary Andhra Pradesh Governments (post formation) for single window clearance to expedite approval of infrastructure and other necessities in both the states.
The IT body also, among others, requested the respective governments to do the land allocations for the industry on priority basis and requested to intervene or set up a process of obtaining statutory approvals from other government agencies.
ITsAP submitted its recommendations to all the political parties for their review and consideration for inclusion of the same in their respective manifestos, informed President of ITsAP.
"Today, the state of Andhra Pradesh as is currently the fourth largest IT/ITES exporter in the country. ITsAP strongly believes that it has Talent, Infrastructure and Business Ecosystem to make it the leader. These recommendations can be reviewed and implemented by both the new states -- AP and Telangana," Rajanna said in statement.
The industry body also wanted the Government to develop Tier-II cities and also to appoint a dedicated officer and mandate him/her with the growth of IT and ITeS sectors in Tier II cities such as Vizag, Warangal, Karimnagar, Vijayawada, Tirupathi, Nizamabad and Kakinada.
The industry further requested that the government to declare Cyberabad the IT District a High Security Zone and also provide Rs 50-crore one-time investment to strengthen security and other infrastructure to address the security concerns of IT and ITeS Sector, Rajanna said.
