Siraj Hussain to hold addl charge of Food, Public Distribution

Senior IAS officer Siraj Husaain was today given additional charge of Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution.
Hussain, a 1978 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, is presently Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation.
He will hold the additional charge for a period of three months from the date of superannuation of incumbent Sudhir Kumar, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said. Kumar retires today.
Another senior bureaucrat Ashok Kumar Angurana was given additional charge of Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs.
Angurana, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre, is presently Secretary of Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries. He has been appointed for a period of three months, another official order said.

The vacancy was necessitated following superannuation of Consumer Affairs Secretary K N Desiraju today.
