Sisodia inaugurates two new pipeline projects in East Delhi

Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today inaugurated work on two new pipeline projects in Mandawali area of east Delhi which would provide water to around 40,000 people residing there.
The work to lay the two new pipelines, estimated to cost around Rs 90 lakh, would ensure 24-hour supply of Ganga water in these areas, the government said in a press release here.
While work for laying 1,480 meter new water pipeline from Narwana Road to Railway Colony in Mandawali was at a cost of approximately Rs 67 lakhs, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has started the work on laying another new pipeline in Mandawali in place of the corroded old pipeline, as per the release.

It said the work would be completed within three months.
After commissioning of the new pipelines, residents of colonies like Indira Colony, Pandit Mohalla, Chander Vihar, Railway Colony and Eastern Block will be benefited, it said.
The release further said payment to contractor would be released only after the residents express satisfaction with the quality of work.
