SIT begins probe into fire in trains at Jammu station

A Special Investigating Team (SIT) constituted to probe the incidents of fire in two trains at Jammu railway station started today with the team analysing CCTV footage.
"Probe has been started by the newly constituted SIT into the fire incidents in two trains at Jammu railway station on last Sunday," Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Railway, Shiv Kumar Sharma said.
The team also questioned the arrested suspect Ajay Kumar, a resident of Nangloi in New Delhi, the SSP said adding, "he was caught in a coach adjacent to the one, which caught fire."
The SIT would also investigate whether the fire incidents were caused by technical faults or sabotage, he added.
On Sunday evening, a mysterious fire broke out in two trains at Jammu Tawi railway station and damaged five coaches of Shalimar Express and Jammu Tawi-Allahabad Express.
