Tamil Nadu Tourism Corporation is to promote Helicopter Tourism in order to attract tourists from all over the country and abroad to the Kodaikanal Hill station.
District Collector Hariharan inspected various sites in the hill station, including Chinnapallam and Attuvampatti for the construction of the helipad.
Officials said efforts were made to promote helicopter tourism four years ago but the proposal did not take up for a long time due to delay in approving the project.
The district collector said the Kodai Flower Show would be held from May third week. There would be cultural programmes also, he said.
