Six arrested persons flee from Excise dept lock up

Six persons arrested on charge of either consuming alcohol or hoarding liquor fled from a lock up of Excise department in Bihar's East Champaran district, a senior official said today.
Excise Superintendent of East Champaran, Keshav Jha said that six persons were kept in a lock up of Excise department after being caught under anti-liquor law in the state from East Champaran and neighbouring Sheohar district last night.
But, in the morning they were found missing from the lock up by removing iron roads of window in the rear, Jha said.
On the basis of statement of Excise officials a case has been registered with town police station in this regard, he said.

Jha said the matter has been reported to Excise commissioner of the state and further action would be initiated as per direction from there.
