A local court has directed the police to
register a case against six persons for allegedly raping a woman in her house in village Gokulpura of the district.
A 35-year-old woman was gangraped on November 30 last year while she was alone at her home.
Seeking an action, the victim approached police but her request of registering a complaint was rejected, she said.
Later, she moved an application in the court, which yesterday ordered police to register her complaint.
The woman alleged that Bhoore, resident of Jinhaira village, along with five others entered her house and raped her one by one while keeping her in confinement.
A case of gangrape has been registered against the accused persons and investigations are underway, police said.
The accused are absconding.
