Six killed as jeep collides with bus in Kerala

Six people includingthree children were today killed and more than 14 injured after ajeep collided with a bus while trying to overtake a caron the national highway near Thamarassery town here, police said.
All the six who died were travelling in the jeep while the injured were bus passengers.
Four of the injuredare in a critical condition, police said.
The mishap occurred around 3 pm on the Kozhikode-Mysore national highway when the jeep collided head-on with the bus plying in the opposite direction from Kozhikode to Sultan Bathery in Wayanad district, police said.
The jeep driver was among those killed, they said.

The injured have been admitted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, they said.
