Six killed in road mishap

The incident occurred at around 10.30 AM near Mupparam village when the driver lost control over the vehicle while crossing a bridge. The vehicle turned turtle before falling near a canal resulting in death of five women on the spot, they said.

Of the 16 wounded, one succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital, police said.

The deceased have not been identified yet and Nidmanoor police is carrying further investigations.
