Aurangabad Superintendent of Police Babu Ram said among the arrested Maoists, one identified as Vijay was arrested from Mali village, while five others were nabbed from Bamhauli village under Deo police station limits.
"Vijay is the commander of Koel-Sone area and was involved in several incidents of Left-Wing Extremism. Among the other five arrested Maoists, three are from Palamu district in neighbouring Jharkhand, while two are from Aurangabad district," Ram said.
The SP added the arrested persons were being interrogated about their plans and involvement in the past incidents of violence.
