Six of family test dengue positive

Six members of a family, including two children have been tested positive for dengue and are undergoing treatment in Podanur area here.
A couple, an elderly woman and two children, all residents of Mettuthottam area in Podanur on the outskirts of the city, were tested positive for dengue yesterday, police said.
While the adults were admitted to a private hospital on Avanashi Road, the children were taken to a hospital on Race Course Road, they said.
Another female member of the family was admitted in the hospital today.
Meanwhile, a person responsible for fogging in Mettuthottam, allegedly threatened a girl after she raised an alarm over the prevalence of dengue in the area.
