Small sugar recovers on renewed offtake

Meanwhile, medium sugar declined further due to weak demand from stockist and retailers.

Small sugar (S-30) gained by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 3,236/3,322 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 3,232/3,322.

Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 5/1 per quintal to Rs 3,316/3,451 as against Rs 3,321/3,452 previously.

The following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,236/3,322 (Rs 3,232/3,322).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,316/3,451 (Rs 3,321/3,452).
