Smart city project major plank of campaign for BJP candidate

With candidates' list of all contesting parties already out, the Smart City project given to the city would be the major plank during electioneering for Coimbatore South Assembly constituency for the BJP-Kongunadu Janayaka Katchi (KJK) alliance.
The decision to highlight the project to woo the voters was taken at a meting of KJK, in which BJP candidate for the constituency, Vanathi Srinivasan, was the special invitee, KJK founder-president, G K Nagaraj said here.
Coimbatore is one of the 20 Smart Cities selected by the Centre.
The meeting also decided about forming booth committees and to make efforts to win the seat for the alliance with a thumping majority, Nagaraj said.

KJK is contesting two seats in the region in alliance with BJP.
