Medical devices firm Sahajanand Medical Technologies on Tuesday said it has acquired majority stake in Brazil-based medical devices solutions provider Zarek for an undisclosed amount.
This acquisition will help the company enhance its market share with an increased on-ground presence and working closely with healthcare community in Brazil, Sahajanand Medical Technologies (SMT) said in a statement.
"The acquisition of Zarek (Zarek Distribuidora De Produtos Hospitalares) is a step towards creating direct presence in major markets across the globe. Brazil is the largest market in Latin America and is a key market for us," SMT Corporate Strategy Head Gaurav Goel said.
This acquisition will give SMT direct presence the Latin American market, providing more flexibility in terms of customer service and engagement, he added.
"This partnership would help us to serve the entire Brazilian market more efficiently and quickly, providing the best medical devices care," Zarek CEO Diego Mucelin said.
This acquisition will help SMT cater to Latin America market more efficiently, the medcial devices maker said.
