"Though traditionally IT and ITes has been our forte, we believed this to be an opportune moment to diversify into healthcare," SoftAge Group Managing Director Ozair Yasin said in a statement.
SoftAge has signed a pact with the RJ Group to set up 100 sample gathering centers for RJ-owned Diagno Labs across India within a span of 12 months and aims to hire about 1,200 people.
SoftAge plans to leverage its pan-India presence in 25 states and more than 500 cities to accomplish this objective, the statement added.
"On the corporate front, we will have a client base of over 300 and hope to forge small hospital tie-ups in small towns," Diagno Labs MD Sanjoy Mukerji added.
