Pakistan have lost middle order batsman Sohaib Maqsood for the Bangladesh tour after he suffered a recurrence of a fracture in his upper left arm.
The Pakistan Cricket Board said allrounder Saad Nasim would replace Maqsood in the touring squad for the three One-day Internationals beginning April 17.
"Maqsood was picked for the limited over matches while Saad was already in the T20 squad but now he will also be available for the three ODIs," a PCB official said.
Sohail Saleem, who heads the PCB sports medicine department, said that Maqsood had joined the training camp for the Bangladesh tour but had complained of acute pain during the gym session.
"He underwent a scan and it was revealed that there is a tiny broken piece of bone off the hook of hamate," Saleem said.
Maqsood was lucky to be retained in the squad for the limited over matches in Bangladesh after he had a disappointing World Cup.
The national selectors had dropped seasoned batsmen Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal for the Bangladesh tour but decided to give Maqsood another shot in Bangladesh.
Pakistan will be without three of their most experienced players -- Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq -- for the one-dayers.
While Misbah and Afridi have retired from ODIs after the World Cup, the selectors decided to rest Younis for the series.
