Somany Ceramics Q1 net declines 67 pc to Rs 6 cr

Somany Ceramics today reported a 67.06 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 6.01 crore for the June quarter on account of lower income.
The company had posted a net profit at Rs 18.25 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal, Somany Ceramics said in a BSE filing.
Total income during the quarter under review stood at Rs 354.10 crore as against Rs 431.29 crore in the year ago period, down 17.89 per cent.
In a separate filing, the company said its CEO G G Trivedi has retired from the post and Deputy CEO and CFO T R Maheshwari has been re-designated as the CEO and CFO.
The company's stock closed 2.82 per cent up at Rs 794.20 on BSE.
