A decision on continuance of some Union Ministers, who have been drafted for party work, in the government is expected to be taken by January 21, Congress sources said tonight.
The high command is also expected to take a call on whether 13 party office bearers, including some General Secretaries and Secretaries who have been Lok Sabha members, should contest the parliamentary polls or work for the party.
Union Minister Sachin Pilot was today made Rajasthan PCC Chief and several other ministers are also likely to be drafted for party work sooner than later.
The names of Jairam Ramesh, Jitendra Singh and R P N Singh are also doing the rounds in this regard.
Among the Lok Sabha members are Congress General Secretaries Gurudas Kamat, Mukul Wasnik and C P Joshi and AICC Secretaries Sanjay Nirupam and Ashok Tanwar. One of the AICC Secretaries Arun Yadav was today made Madhya Pradesh PCC Chief.
