Condoling the death of victims in the attacks in two communally-sensitive districts of Kokrajhar and Baksa of Assam, Gandhi said, "the inherent plurality of India will never let divisive and violent forces succeed."
She said Congress party and the entire country stand with the family of those killed in the attack.
According to a statement from the party, Gandhi is in constant touch with Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on the issue.
Shoot-at-sight was ordered and indefinite curfew imposed tonight in Kokrajhar and Baksa districts, falling under Bodoland Territorial Administration Districts (BTAD) area, which bore the brunt of the violence.
