Both Sania and Paes combined with Martina Hingis to bag the women's doubles and mixed doubles titles, respectively, while Nagal entered the history books as only the sixth Indian to win a Grand Slam junior title after winning the boys doubles trophy along with Nam Hoang Ly.
Describing their respective victories as "national achievements", they said the trio had made the country proud and their achievements will inspire millions of youth.
The Congress leaders also congratulated their partners Hingis and Ly, saying it was their joint endeavours that made the laurels possible.
