Sonia welcomes Bharat Ratna for Vajpayee, Malaviya

Congress President Sonia Gandhi tonight welcome the government's decision to honour former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and late freedom fighter Madan Mohan Malaviya with Bharat Ratna.
"I welcome the decision to confer Bharat Ratna to Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Madan Mohan Malaviya", she said.
Vajpayee, whose consensual politics found acceptability across the political spectrum, and Malaviya were today picked for the country's highest civilian honour.
