Soybean futures down by Rs 32/a qtl

Soybean prices declined by Rs 32 to Rs 3,775 per quintal in futures trade today on trimming of positions by speculators coupled with negative overseas and physical cues. Market players said a weak trend at the domestic spot markets and muted global cues mainly weighed on soybean prices in futures trade here. At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for delivery in current month slipped by Rs 32 or 0.84 per cent to Rs 3,775 per quintal, in a business turnover of 3,230 lots. The most-traded delivery in March month contracts also fell by Rs 31 or 0.81 per cent to Rs 3,800 per quintal, showing an open interest of 2,50,920 lots.
