Soybean futures extend gains, up Rs 25 per quintal

Soybean prices rose by another Rs 25 to Rs 3,043 per quintal in futures trading today on widening of exposure by traders, tracking a firm trend overseas.
Marketmen attributed rise in soybean prices at futures trade to raising of bets by participants, driven by a firming trend in global market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean delivery this month looked up by Rs 25 or 0.83 per cent to Rs 3,043 per quintal, with an open interest of 29,070 lots.
Soybean for most-active delivery in January was trading higher by Rs 17, or 0.55 per cent to Rs 3,086 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,38,480 lots.
