Market players said elaboration of positions by the participants on the back of rising trend overseas, mainly brought an uptick in soybean prices here in the futures trade.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean delivery for the first contract March month gained Rs 18 or 0.48 per cent to Rs 3,724 per quintal, with an open interest of 44,910 lots.
Also, the delivery of the most traded near contract April month sharpened by Rs 17 or 0.45 per cent to Rs 3,754 per quintal, having an open interest of 2,51,490 lots.
