Soybean futures marginally up on overseas cues

Soybean prices were up by Rs 9 to Rs 3,086 per quintal in futures trade today following enlarging of bets in line with firming trend overseas.
Marketmen said raising of bets by participants, taking positive leads from global markets, led to the rise in soybean prices in futures trade here.
Besides, pick up in demand at the physical markets influenced sentiments.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange counter, soybean to be delivered in February moved up by Rs 9 or 0.29 per cent to Rs 3,086 per quintal, in an open interest of 86,910 lots.
The delivery of the most traded January also edged up by Rs 4 or 0.13 per cent to Rs 3,030 per quintal, with the business turnover of 86,910 open lots.
