Spanish top division side Girona FC today conducted a closed-door football coaching session for students of Don Bosco school and junior academy players of Kerala Blasters at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here.
The team is here to compete in the LaLiga World tournament, a pre-season event.
Girona FC players Gorka Iraizoz Moreno, Cristian Portugues, David Timor, Kevin Soni, Yhoan Andzouana conducted the session with an aim to establish football as a growing sport in India.
Girona FC, who stunned Champions League winners Real Madrid in the La Liga last season, will play Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Kerala Blasters tomorrow.
Girona FC are the first ever La Liga team to visit India, and only the second from the top European leagues.
