Two SGPC members Surinder Singh and Surjit Singh Tugalwal resigned from the religious body's general House today, raising to 15 the number of the members to quit the body.
The resignations were seen even in the political parties in the wake of the sacrilege incidents. Among those to quit were Congress MLA Ramanjit Singh Sikki, Akali Dal Political Affairs Committee member Sukhdev Singh Bhaur and former Rajya Sabha member from Akali Dal Varinder Singh Bajwa.
Meanwhile, the protests by sikh activists continued at various places across the state.
