Gharti hadflown to China's northwestern province of Gansu on September 18 to attend the Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Culture Expo (SRICE).
During her visit, Gharti had a meeting with Chinese Vice-PremierLiu Yandong in which they discussed bilateral ties, including the Chinese President Xi Jinping's proposed visit to Nepal, according to a statement issued by the Speaker's office.
Xi was expected to pay an official visit to Nepal within a couple of months at the invitation of Nepal's president Bidya Bhandari.
She also held a meeting with Yunnan Province Governor Chen Hao.
During the meeting, Gharti also invitedChinese investors and traders to invest in Nepal.
