'Special drive check inflow of drugs from adjoining states'

A special drive will be launched to check inflow of drugs from other states into Punjab in the wake of upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Talking to media here, Bathinda Zone IG, Paramraj Singh Umaranangal today said directions have been issued to seven district police chiefs under Bathinda zone to launch a special drive to check inflow of drugs from adjoining states including Haryana and Rajasthan.
He further informed that directions had also been issued to SHOs, asking people to deposit their licensed weapons for conducting peaceful elections.
