Speeding bike without helmet costs youth his life

Speeding their motorcycle without wearing helmets cost two youths dear as one of them was killed and another injured when the bike crashed into the Patel Chowk roundabout in New Delhi area last night.
The deceased has been identified as Ashish (25) who was declared brought dead at R M L Hospital here while his friend injured Akash was recuperating.
The incident took place at around 12:30 AM when Ashish and Akash were going towards Kalkaji temple on their motorcycle.
"Both of them were not wearing helmets and were speeding. When they reached Patel Chowk roundabout, Ashish lost control over the bike and it rammed on the footpath and Ashish was thrown on the stones kept inside the park constructed inside the roundabout due to which he suffered grievous head injuries. Akash sustained injuries on his face, hand and legs," said a police official quoting Akash's statement.
A Police Control Room (PCR) van patrolling in the area rushed them to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where Ashish was declared brought dead while Akash was treated for his injuries.
It also came to light that the duo did not have a valid driving license.
A case under under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Motor Vehicle act was registered at Parliament Street police station in connection with the incident.
