Amid rising domestic as well as export demand in the spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions, cardamom prices were up 0.28 per cent to Rs 834.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators built up fresh position.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July rose by Rs 2.30 or 0.28 per cent to Rs 834.50 per kg in a business turnover of 2 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in cardamom futures to uptick in domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market against tight stocks position on restricted arrivals from producing belts.
