Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today asked party workers to spread awareness about the works done by the BJP-led Centre.
"On May 23, the central government is completing three years in office, the workers need to go out among the public and propagate the works undertaken by it during this period," he said while addressing them here.
The chief minister, who also held a review meeting with senior officials on issues relating to development and law and order, said his government was working towards fulfilling all the promises made by the BJP in the run up to the UP assembly elections.
"There is a need to bring improvement in power sector. Also, after the loan waiver, the government is concentrating on wheat procurement and payment of cane dues. Efforts are also on to explore possibility of reopening closed sugar mills besides setting up new ones," he said.
Adityanath also said UP's ranking was very low in terms of cleanliness and exhorted party workers to come forward and make an effort in order to improve the state's ranking, while assuring them of state government's full support.
Before the arrival of the chief minister at the event, there was an apparent tiff between the Hindu Yuva Vahini and the BJP workers over placing the former's saffron flag on the dais.
The matter was later resolved by the leaders of the two sides.
