The incident occurred in the wee hours last morning when the victim, identified as Geeta alias Payal Biali Paswan, was sleeping at her house in Kamatnagar locality along with her sister, while their parents were away to their native place, said inspector S B Shendge of Bhiwandi city police station.
He said that the accused, identified only as Raja, had been pestering her to enter into relationship with her which she refused.
Shendge said that Raja and Payal had been working at a same powerloom, but she stopped reporting to work allegedly due to harassment by the accused.
