The bonds are in the form of secured, redeemable, non-convertible debentures, having benefits under section 80CCF of the Income Tax Act.
In a regulatory filing it said company's ensuing board meeting is scheduled for August 6.
"The Board of Directors of the company shall consider the proposal to buyback of the long term infrastructure bonds ...Under shelf prospectus and tranche 1 prospectus dated December 28, 2011 and filed with the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal," it said.
Stock of the company closed 1.2 per cent up at Rs 75.70 on BSE.
