SSB jawan injured in IED blast
Press Trust of India Raipur An SSB jawan was today injured in an IED blast carried out by Naxals in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.
Officials said the incident was reported at about 11:30 AM from Barrebeda area in the district when a patrol party of the 33rd battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) was out to sanitise an under-construction railway track.
They said constable Kailsh Dhare came in contact with a hidden Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
The jawan has been admitted to a hospital in Antagarh area and is out of danger now, a senior officer said.
Kanker is a Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected district in Chhattisgarh.
