SST seizes Rs 4.6 lakh cash in Kishtwar: DEO

Keeping a strict vigil over carrying of unaccounted cash during the enforcement of Model Code of Conduct in district Kishtwar, the Static Surveillance Teams have seized an amount of Rs 4.60 lakh so far, an Election Commission official said today.
This was disclosed by District Election officer (DEO), Kishtwar, Mohammad Javed Khan and SP, Kishtwar, Yougal Manhas during a video conference with P K Dash, Director General, Election Expenditure, ECI and Chief Electoral Officer, Jammu and Kashmir.
The DEO apprised the CEO about the functioning of various cells regarding the poll arrangements, EVMs, man power management and induction of polling parties.

He assured the CEO that the district administration is committed to ensure free and fair election in Kishtwar.
