Stalin visits turmeric field

: As part of his ongoing re-election Namakku Namme (We for ourselves) programme, DMK treasurer M K began his padayatra from Sathyamangalam in the district today.
He interacted with some people near a mosque and later went to some turmeric fields in Bangalapudur area,where he met agricultural labourers, who told him that the wages they were getting was insufficient.
Stalin then visited Gobichettipalayam, where he attended a meeting organized by Self Help Groups.
The DMK leader claimed that the party was instrumental for development of SHGs in Tamilnadu and that during the present AIADMK rule, no developments were made in SHGs and many groups were dormant

Stalin later visited Bhavani and Kalingarayanpalayam villages and interacted with carpet weavers at Perumalmalai area.
