Stamp vendor shot at, robbed Rs. 6 lakh

Armed men today shot at and injured a stamp vendor before looting Rs. Six lakh from him near Rani Pokhar Chowk in Bihar's Vaishali district, a police officer said.
The stamp vendor Sanjeev Kumar was riding on a bike on way to Hajipur from Mahua block when three armed criminals riding on another bike intercepted him and shot in his leg before looting a bag containing Rs. Six lakh cash, Superintendent of Police (SP) Rakesh Kumar said.
The injured stamp vendor has been admitted at Sadar hospital, he said.
A case has been registered in this connection and raids were on, the SP added.
