Former "The Vampire Diaries" star Steve R McQueen has been cast on the upcoming season four of action-drama series "Chicago Fire".
This will be McQueen's first role after he left the Vampire drama this February, reported Aceshowbiz.
He is tapped to recur on the season as Jimmy Borelli, a new candidate at Firehouse 51. He will make a dramatic entrance on his first day of work and that doesn't sit well with Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker).
Executive producer Danielle Gelber broke the news by posting on Twitter her picture with the hunky actor, who is best known for his role as Elena's (Nina Dobrev) brother on "The Vampire Diaries".
"Newest addition to #ChicagoFire. Welcome to the family! @McQueeninchains #season4," she captioned the picture.
