A tourist from Maharasthra died at Sela Pass in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang district after he was stranded there for a day due to heavy snowfall, government officials said here today.
He was got stuck there along with other tourists on Saturday and died on Sunday, the officials said.
The tourist reportedly died due to breathing problem, they said.
The last rites of the tourist was performed yesterday with support from the Tawang Monpa Employees Society (TMES), an official said.
The family members of the deceased were present when the last rites were performed at the Changbu cremation ground, the official added.
The other stranded tourists were rescued, he said.
