Straying tiger captured
terrorising locals of Thirunelli village of the district, today was captured by the forest department.
The 15-year-old tiger had killed four cows in past two days, forest sources said.
Forest officials had placed a trap last night at Pulivalmokku near Thirunelli and the tiger fell into it early this morning .
The villagers have been demanding protection in the area against wild animals and even took out a protest rally a couple of days ago, sources said.
