Student assaulted in school by unidentified persons

A 17-year-old student of a government school was assaulted by two unidentified persons in the school premises today, police said.
Santosh Kumar of Nadupatty Government Model school was playing with other students when two bike-borne persons entered the premises and slashed his neck and hands with a blade, Inspector S Sureshkumar said.
The assailants escaped after the incident, Sureshkumar said, adding, the motive for the attack was not known.
The boy was admitted to a private hospital and his condition is stable, he said.
