Dipankar Kulkarni, hailing from Madhya Pradesh's Betul district, consumed poison last night and was rushed to the private Om Hospital by his roommate Anklesh, Ashoka Garden police station in-charge Inspector Mohan Sarwan told PTI.
Kulkarni died this morning, he said, adding, he did not leave any suicide note.
Kulkarni was a first-year pharmacy student at Sainath College, Sarwan said.
He said that Kulkarni was upset after he was found to be suffering from tuberculosis by a doctor in Maharashtra some months ago.
His body was handed over after post-mortem to his father and uncle who came down from Betul. Further investigations are on, the police official said.
