Student held for injuring another student

A 19-year old college student was today arrested on charges of seriously injuring another student in a clash late last night in the city.
According to police, the student, Aditya of a private college has attacked with wooden club another student Ranjithkumar, reportedly due to previous enmity.
Ranjit, in order to save his life, had scaled the wall of a house and hidden on the terrace, after he was chased and attacked with the club, leading to injury on face and shoulder, they said.
He is being treated at a private hospital.
Police had arrived at the scene around midnight and after conducting preliminary inquiry, asked some seven students to vacate their rented house.

Based on a complaint, Aditya was arrested this evening and will be produced before court for remand, police added.
